How the book is laid out made it easier for my brain as it was easy to go back in the book to refresh and remind me who was who, so I could follow along.Ĭhapter 1 starts in 2017 with Angela who works in an Antique Store who finds a letter.Ĭhapter 2 starts in 1960 with Evelyn who is sent to a maternity home and becomes friends with Maggie.Ĭhapter 3 starts in 1979 with Nancy who finds out she’s a LDAĬhapter 4 starts in 1960 with Evelyn went away to a maternity homeĬhapter 5 starts in 2017 with Angela who is trying to become pregnantĬhapter 6 starts in 1960 with Evelyn who went away to a maternity home The review made me buy the book, despite knowing how hard it is for me to read anything longer than a page and retain it, not to mention how tired I get trying to read, understand, and retain the plot line post stroke no matter how long ago it was.
